ADVANCED WORD POWER

Xenophile one attracted to foreigners or things foreign

Example: Ted speaks 7 languages - What a xenophile!

Abdicate to give up office, renounce

Example: The King abdicated so he can ensure that his son ascends the throne.
Note: Abdication is almost always used to refer to a king, queen, or emperor.

Nadir the bottom, trough

Note: The opposite of zenith is nadir - which means lowest point.
