TIPS TO MASTER A LANGUAGE

Do you think mastering a language is easy? I bet you're right. It can be as easy as ABC. Do you remember how you first learn to speak in your mother tongue? I believe you did not go to school to learn it. In fact, you just pick it up naturally because people around you just spoke to you in that language right? So, if that's the case, why not duplicate this classic concept and learn a new language in the same manner? ´Visualise to materialise!´

Next, you want to also acknowlege that learning a language requires hard work, and most of all diligence. Some ways have proven themselves more successful than others, and below you will find our advice for mastering a language.

Have you heard of total immersion? Well, it simply means to go to a place where only that particular language is being used. For example, if you want to learn English, you want to be England. You wish to master Mandarin, you learn from the Chinese. That would be the best. However, many of us would not be able to afford to go all the way just to do that because of time constraint. So the next best way is to create such environment around us and make it happen.
Next, SPEAK it. No matter which level of fluency you're in, articulating that sounds of the language is of utmost importance! If you can sing, sing in the language. Do whatever you have to hear yourself in that language!
Frequent exposure is necessary. The best technique would be to study a moderate amount daily instead of overstudying or cramming at the last minute. For example, if you're reading a passage. Don't just memorise it. Instead, dramatise it or talk about it with your friends and families, people who support your efforts in mastering that language.
Take advantage of our website as a resource. Write to us and ask any questions that you want. In that way, you English fresh in your mind.
Try to think in the language you are learning. Translating from your first language could make you sound funny in using the second language.
One gets out of something whatever one puts in. The more hours you put in the better. To add fun to your efforts, make it a family event. Get everyone to join you. Then it becomes a family event.
If you have any suggestions for your fellow learners, feel free to send us some feedback.
